A: The church could greatly relieve the tensions over racism (particularly in countries like America), if only the leaders would teach biblical truths about our shared ancestry: all people are descended from one man and woman; all people are equal before God; all are sinners in need of salvation; all need to build their thinking on God’s Word and judge all their cultural aspects accordingly; all need to be one in Christ and put an end to their rebellion against their Creator.
When the prophet Samuel went to anoint the next king of Israel, he thought the oldest of Jesse’s sons was the obvious choice due to his outward appearance. However, we read in 1 Samuel 16:7,
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

This book utilizes historical research, with special emphasis on the history and growth of race-related culture issues faced in the USA and throughout the world. Readers will benefit from the emotion-touching personal experiences communicated by the book's cross-racial writing team. This is unquestionably the most race-unifying book ever distributed by AiG (other than the Bible), due in large part to the clear biblical perspective given for every major issue discussed.
